My first ever art show...

I finally took photographs of some of my art. I haven't had a show yet, but people who come into my home always encourage me to do more. I don't think I'm ready, but I'd love to hear your feedback. What's your favorite?

Good Morning and Embryo are my favourites.

You've got good talent that is developing. It would be nice if you would create a "proper" album for them or submit them to a service like Flickr where people can favourite them and comment on them individually if they so wish.

I would like to know the dates/years of production for these paintings. Maybe with that people can also track your developing style.

Are they for sale?

I liked "I don't want to go to work" and "My door way" .. creative, rich and vibrant colours.

Hi there

Some of these are just as good as any of the artwork I've seen showcased in galleries.

Faves: "Radish II", "Pear" & "Ghost"... I like the minimalist style in those.

I know of one particular place that keep asking me to find new artists. If you're interested (and ready) let me know and I'll hook you up with them.

Also, why don't you join our gourp, Elham - a group for the creative arts, which is for artists, writers etc in Bahrain. There's always a chance in displaying your work during one of our "evenings" to get feedback from people.

You can visit my blog for more or email elhambahrain@yahoo.com

Well done and good luck

Hey there,
I really like the radishes, I would love to see them side by side.

I really like "Ghost" as well. I think less is more.

What medium do you use? Or prefer to use?

i like many of these, and i agree w/ ali, i have seen very similar pieces are art shows in the past. i'd also be very interested to hear what medium you use, especially w/ the fish. i love the gold in those pictures and am very interested to see what you did w/ the gold.

i love to paint and found many of these to be inspirational. have you had training?

Thanks Mahmood, I'll transfer them to flickr, Good Morning is 2005 and Embryo is 2007 a couple are college days, 1995-99. They're theoretically for sale, but right now i'm decorating my house with them. I want to do a proper show.

Thanks guys, for the comments.

In most I use acrylic and mixed media, some are watercolor and pastels. The radishes which I did on Monday are ink, which I love. I studied fine arts and interior design, but still 10 years on I don't feel I've painted enough for a show yet...Ali, I thought about elham, but i'm hesitant...maybe soon.

Hey there, I really want to start painting/drawing again. I figured you might know where the best (most cost effective) place to buy canvas/art supplies might be. I know theres the Things to do store next to the Bahrain Arts Society http://www.bahartsociety.org.bh/contact.html but is there anywhere else? I don't want to get jipped off. Any ideas would be MOST appreciated. Shukranain in advance :)

I loved "My sister" :)

Agreeing with 'shatha,' I think the woman in the chair is the best. Maybe it's because we can relate to it easily while the others are more abstract.

By the way, don't you have an e-mail people can contact you by?

Woman in chair and Doorway are my favs too. Mashallah, you've got talent Farah. Keep at it and do put up a show with Elham asap!

Hey Farah,
mixed media is my favorite. I love to stray from anything conventional and your gold certainly creates another aspect to admire.
Hope to see more of your art soon.

Love,
SoulSearch
